Hall Green Primary School

Reception - Autumn 2 update

This term the children have been on a creative journey through space!

We have learnt facts about space and talked about what we know. We used bottle tops to create space print pictures and we even made our own moon rocks… we thought about what it would be like on the moon and wrote some exciting words to describe our thoughts!

As the festive season began we went on a fantastic trip to the Sealife centre where we even got to meet Santa. We all worked really hard and enjoyed performing our Christmas nativity. In Literacy we wrote a list of all the things we might need at Christmas time

In art we each drew a picture for Santa and posted them in our school post.

In our final week the whole school celebrated the book ‘Stickman’ by Julia Donaldson. We made our own stickman using wooden pegs and materials, we went outside a made a giant stickman on the grass using natural materials…

Merry Christmas to all from all in Reception!!
