It was a privilege to welcome Manny Kang to Hall Green this week, where he shared his inspiring personal journey with pupils and spoke about the importance of developing our inner qualities such as resilience, kindness, and determination. Manny’s incredible achievements—including running the London Marathon five times, raising over £130,000 for Dementia UK, and walking from Wolverhampton to Newcastle—left pupils in awe. This weekend, he will take on his biggest challenge yet: walking non-stop from the Molineux Stadium to London without stopping and without sleep, before then going on to run the London Marathon for a sixth time, all in support of Dementia UK. His message reminded everyone that possibilities are endless and that anything is possible when we believe in ourselves—truly reflecting our school mission statement, “your chance to shine.” The visit left a lasting impression on both pupils and staff, and we are proud to be organising a school fundraising event in Manny’s name to support Dementia UK (details to follow).
