Hall Green Primary celebrate VE Day 08.05.25
Throughout the week, our children explored what World War II was like and why 'Victory in Europe' (VE) Day was so important, and how people continue to remember it today. Just like that day, we held small street parties in the school hall, where the pupils enjoyed listening and dancing to the music of that time. Each child was given a sandwich of their choice; spam, fish paste or jam and a sponge cake, just like those in 1945. In class, they completed activities, played games and reflected on this momentous day 80 years ago.
Please enjoy looking at our photos and spot the staff in their costumes.
