Because of this, we set off on an exciting tunnel adventure, using our torches to guide the way through the darkness. Afterwards, we headed down into the forest for bush craft, where we learnt how to build fires safely and worked in teams to create dens from natural materials. Later, we split into groups to tackle high rope challenges and enjoy mountain biking along the forest trails. Even in the cold, everyone faced their fears, supported one another, and showed incredible resilience throughout a brilliant final day.

It was cold, but spirits were high and the singing didn’t stop all the way there! Once we arrived, we enjoyed some delicious chips, explored the sweet shop, and visited the museum. After the trek back, we warmed up with hot chocolate before heading out again after dinner for a cosy campfire in the woods, where we toasted marshmallows and made gooey s’mores. The children are tired but happy, and very ready for a well-earned sleep!

Now, after an amazing day of adventure, we’re tired but still full of energy, playing hide and seek in the dark and making memories we’ll never forget.

They had to use their listening, leadership and teamwork skills in order to complete different games and tasks. They ended their first night with a night walk with their torches through the forest to visit the magic tree, where they each made a special wish!  The children ended the first day very happy but also very muddy and tired! 

After a good nights rest in their beds, the children enjoyed breakfast before taking part in a variety of outdoor activities in their groups. They had to crawl through tunnels using head lamps in the dark mine! They got to learn more about maps and was able to practice their orienteering skills around the centre. They also worked in pairs to complete a blindfold course through the forest and the mud! They ended the second night with a more relaxed evening with lots of showers, a movie, playing, colouring and hot chocolate! 
 

All the Year 2's have enjoyed their first two days at the centre and although they are tired and a little bit muddy, they all have big smiles on their faces! They are also excited to take part in bushcraft tomorrow on their last day before returning home! 
 

The internet has not been the best from the centre so we will upload more photos of the children when we can!

They were all amazing and the house captains had a tough decision but the winners were..........Josiah, Melody, Layla and Tedra.  Each lucky winner received 100 house points for their house team, a Christmas certificate and a Christmas chocolate treat to enjoy!  Overall, Air won 300 house points for their winning entries and Earth with 100 house points.  All of the winning designs are displayed around school for all to see, with lots of other entries shown on display too!

They spent the day outside taking part in lots of different outdoor activities to get them excited about their upcoming residential trip in February! The children got to have a go at making their own fire and worked with partners to complete an orienteering course around the field. They worked in teams to play different games and worked on their teamwork and listening skills. They ended the day with a group sing-a-long around a campfire!

Although it was a cold and windy day, all the Year 2 children had a great time and got to build on lots of different skills. Thank you, Frank Chapman!

Thank you to all of the children who took part in our various competitions this week.  The colouring competition winner was Sydney in year 4, the winner for design a Pudsey t.shirt was Felicity in 1M, the winning acrostic poem was written by Emme in year 3 and Kaisan in year 5 correctly guessed the number of M&M's in the tub.  All of the winners received some Pudsey ears, a Pudsey activity book and a Greggs Pudsey biscuit.  There were some amazing entries and of course thank you for wearing your yellow clothes today.

We enjoyed learning about MAF in our whole class assembly and learning activities.  We created our own paper planes and used them in a target challenge.  We also played a game of 'Guess the Cargo.'  Then, most excitingly, we all had the opportunity to sit inside the MAF plane, to see what it would be like to fly!  

This is a day and experience we will always remember!

The children woke up bright and early and after breakfast and some games split back into their groups for their final activities.

Some groups had a go at the high ropes and other groups took on mountain biking! All the groups also took part in bush craft where they got to make a fire and build a den in teams!

After dinner and a game of hide and seek, the children watched the England v Denmark game on the big screen whilst other children took part in some arts and crafts activities.

Tomorrow for our final morning we will be taking part in some orienteering through the forest before we get back on the coach to come home! The children are all very tired, not too dirty and very happy with all the activities they got to take part in!

They set off bright and early on a long walk through the woods to Bewdley and once they arrived at Bewdley, they enjoyed some chips with their sandwiches and visited the local sweet shop! 
They had to then do another long walk back through the woods to the Frank Chapman centre and although they were very tired, they kept going and kept their spirits high all the way back!

After such a long walk, they are now going to enjoy a more chilled evening of dinner, watching a movie and a shower!

We arrived and met our instructors who told us all about Frank Chapman.
 

We had some lunch and spent the afternoon working together in team building activities. We also had to create a safe nest for an egg for our egg drop competition! 

After dinner, we went on a walk through the forest and found the Magic Tree! We had to do a special dance and make a wish! 
 

We then finished the day with hot chocolate and biscuits whilst we wrote our first diary entry! A very long and busy day but lots of fun too!
