Neurodiversity Week 2026
Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a powerful reminder that every learner brings unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of thinking to our school community. By recognising and valuing neurodivergent students—including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other neurological differences—we create an environment where individuality is embraced rather than overlooked. When schools champion inclusive teaching, flexible approaches, and genuine understanding, all students benefit. Celebrating neurodiversity isn’t just about awareness; it’s about fostering a culture where every young person feels seen, supported, and able to thrive.
To help our school community explore and celebrate neurodiversity, we will be sharing The Umbrella of Us—a creative way of showing the many different strengths, traits, and perspectives that make each of us unique. Throughout the week, students and staff will take part in discussions and activities that highlight how our differences enrich our community. By talking openly about the variety of ways we think, learn, and experience the world, we aim to build understanding, challenge stereotypes, and celebrate the individuality that makes our school such a vibrant place to learn.
